History

TANAKA Ltd. is a private Bulgarian family company in the food industry. Founded back in 1990, today the company is one of the leading in the country.

1990: Tanaka Company was founded in 1990 in Plovdiv as a 100% private family company.
1994: The first high-speed packaging machine for spices and confectionery additives was put into production.
1996: The factory in the village of Trud was built according to all requirements and regulations for the food industry, which later facilitated the smooth transition to the HACCP Quality Control System.
1999: Production of a line for cream starches was launched.
2008: Export to EU countries: Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and England started.
2010: Technological equipment was updated.
2012: The product portfolio was updated with avant-garde designer packaging made of multilayer foil, preserving 100% of the taste qualities of the packaged products.
2013: Production of a line for breakfast cereals, oatmeal, and muesli was launched.
2014: The company expanded by building a new finished goods warehouse.
2019: The company expanded by building a new raw materials warehouse.
2020: Production of a line for filter herbal and fruit teas was launched.
Present: For nearly 35 years, TANAKA Ltd. has been working in the Bulgarian and European markets, continuously enriching its product portfolio through the professionalism of a team of technologists.
